back alley, cold night
concrete floors, footsteps echo
platform déjà vu

five flights of stairs
empty room, the air smoky
bankers soon arrive

fluorescent lighting
the mood high, a loud buzz
free vodka for some

starts without fanfare
great electric-blue suiting
neoprene dresses

many hits, few fails
some dress lengths don’t work
love that red coat

a humble last bow
down the stairs, open bar
hangovers today
